Entrance Exams & Admissions :
Minimum qualification for getting admission to BHMS course is class 12th pass with minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This is a 5 1/2 years course including 1-year compulsory internship. There are both Government and Management seats available in the college. There is no entrance tests conducted by the college. On entering the course, each student must procure 50% of marks in every paper in the university exams conducted yearly.
Placements & Internships :
There is 1 year compulsory internship period after which the graduation is awarded. There is no stipend given to any students. There are 100 seats available per year for BHMS, in which 50% is government another 50% is management based. A good network connection is available as well as infrastructure also.
Fees & Scholarships :
The course fees vary from year to year. It ranges from 3 lakhs - 5 lakh per year. There are scholarships available for those backward class students like merit -cum means scholarship etc. Yes, if needed students can take education loans for the completion of the course.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
Yes, there is a hostel facility available separately for boys and girls. There is a separate hostel attached to the hospital for the House surgeons. There is the availability of wardens every time as well as watchmen. Both veg and Non-veg available. Mess hall will be closed by 8.pm. 45,000-50,000/- is mess + accommodation fee per year.
Clubs & Associations :
The 5 and a half year college life at White Memorial College is memorable too. Every year there is a 1 week sports day ending with Annual day conducted. Pongal festivals, Onam celebrations, Christmas celebrations, Founder's day celebrations etc are memorable.
