At Vivekanandha College of Technology for Women, we always believe in equipping our students with the right talent and personality to face the industry requirements. Our focus on placement centers on creating new approaches to attract the best from the industry to our campus. The Placement & Training Cell functions with the primary aim of placing students in top-notch companies even before the course completion and further provides ample opportunities to the students to develop their personality by conducting programs regularly in communication and soft skills with the view of making students Industry-friendly and Industry ready candidates. The Cell is well equipped with ample infrastructure in terms of Seminar Halls, Meeting/Consultancy Hall for Pre Placement Talk, Presentations, etc. An exclusive cell under the guidance of our principal collects the data of the graduating students and maintains a comprehensive database ready for reference of interview committees. The placement cell operates round the year to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates.

It plays a very important and key role in counseling and guiding the students of the college for their successful career placement.

CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAMME  

The Placement & Training cell arranges training programs like Aptitude Training, facing the interview, group discussions, soft skill trainings, etc. The Placement Cell is used to invite HR managers from different industries to conduct training programs for our students.  

THE MAJOR FUNCTIONS OF THE TRAINING AND PLACEMENT DEPARTMENT INVOLVE:

• Planning and organizing campus as well as off-campus selection activities.
• Inviting specialists to address students on self-enhancement, confidence building, etc.
• Conducting Individual Development Programme on regular basis to the students of II year to final year course of all branches. This deals with soft skill development, Personality Development, etc.
• Organizing Aptitude Tests to students through the respective departments.
• Conducting GDs, Mock Interviews, etc., to prepare the students to face interviews.
