Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Agricultural Engineering):

The applicants seeking admission should have passed Higher Secondary (10th grade and plus two as well) examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized Council or Board in regular class mode with the following:

  • The applicants seeking admission has passed in all the subjects individually scoring the required minimum marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • The applicants seeking admission have a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the above subjects taken together (40% for SC/ST/ PWD/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) as well as pass in English with a minimum of 30% marks (for all categories of candidates) in the said qualifying examination.

For Vacant Seats:

The eligibility of the candidates as per the order of preference is as follows:

  • The applicants seeking admission with WBJEE-2020 rank (General Merit Rank in Engineering).
  • The applicants seeking admission with JEE-MAIN 2020 (Engineering & Technology) -2020 rank (All India Rank).
  • The applicants with JELET-2020 rank who have passed Diploma Examination from an AICTE approved Institute with at least 45% aggregate marks (40% in case of Reserved Category candidates) in Agricultural Engineering.
  • The applicants seeking admission having Engineering Diploma in Agricultural Engineering from an AICTE approved institution with at least 45% aggregate marks (40% in case of reserved Category candidates)
  • The applicants seeking admission who possess B.Sc degree from a recognized University with at least 45% aggregate marks (40% in case of Reserved Category candidates) who have passed 10th grade and plus two with Mathematics as a core subject.

Application Process for Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Agricultural Engineering):

In case of appearing for WBJEE 2020:

The applicants seeking admission must register themselves through the online application process available at the WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) website. The process consists of the following four steps:

  1. The applicants must fill the application form through online.
  2. The applicants should upload necessary documents as well as scanned images.
  3. The applicants seeking admission should further submit application fee either Online or Offline.
  4. The applicants must finally click on the \'confirm\' button.

Enclosures (at the time of counseling):

  1. Printed Application Form duly signed by the applicant seeking admission.
  2. Self-attested photocopy of WBJEE or JELET Rank Card of the applicant seeking admission (if applicable).
  3. Self-attested photocopy of age proof document of the applicant seeking admission (birth certificate, admit card or school leaving certificate).
  4. Self-attested photocopy of marks sheets of Madhyamik (10th grade), H.S. (plus two) or equivalent examination and all other examinations passed of such applicants.
  5. Self-attested photocopy of SC/ST certificate of the applicant seeking admission (if applicable).
  6. Residential certificate from the competent authority of the applicant.

In case of decentralized counseling for vacant seats:

The new applicants must create an Account with a valid Email ID as important communication may be communicated to that registered email address. In case the old applicants have already registered, the applicants seeking admission can use their Old Login details to apply.

After filling the application form with relevant information, the applicants seeking admission should upload the given documents in digital form. All scanned copies will be in .jpg format only.

  • Passport size photograph of the applicant seeking admission (Maximum size 20kb)
  • Signature of the applicant (Maximum size 20 kb)
  • Signature of the guardian of such applicant seeking admission (Maximum size 20 kb)

After uploading all the documents, the applicants seeking admission should submit his/her final application and take a printout of it for future use.


Note: No application fee is required for final submission of application form. No document has to be sent to the University.

The following documents will be required at the time of counselling and admission:

  • Admit card or Certificate of Madhyamik (10th) of the applicants seeking admission.
  • Mark sheet of Madhyamik (10th) of the applicants seeking admission.
  • H.S. (plus two) or equivalent mark sheet of the applicant.
  • JEM (Engineering) or JELET Rank card (if applicable).
  • Caste certificate (if applicable) of such applicants.
  • Mark sheets and certificates of all other examinations passed by that applicant.

  • Original Migration Certificate, if applicable.
  • Original Annual Income Certificate of Father/Guardian issued by the competent authority.
  • Original Residential Certificate issued by the competent authority.
  • SIX copies of passport size colour photographs (without attestation).

Eligibility For All the applicants seeking admission:

  • The applicants seeking admission must possess a bachelor\'s degree in agriculture, horticulture or forestry from this university or any other recognized university or Board of studies with minimum OGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale (for general category candidates) and OGPA of 6 (for SC/ST and PWD candidates).
  • The applicants seeking admission must secure at least 60% aggregate marks (for general category candidates) and 50% marks (for SC/ST and PWD candidates) in the Higher Secondary examination or equivalent examination.
  • The minimum age of the applicants seeking admission must be 21 years.

Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] in Agriculture and Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] in Horticulture Science:
