- Candidates should have completed their Graduation with 50% marks in B.P.Ed or equivalent/ graduation with Physical Education with at least 50% marks
- There is a waiver of marks obtained in the qualifying examination for Outstanding sportsperson (5%), N.C.C. "B" Certificate holders (2.5%), and for faculty of law, girls (5%)
- Reservations are available to the candidates of Scheduled Caste (21%), Scheduled Tribe (2%), Other Backward Classes of Uttar Pradesh (27%), Physically Handicapped/ Disabled (3%, including 1% for blinds), Son/ Daughter/ Grandson/ Granddaughter of Freedom Fighters from Uttar Pradesh(2%), Son/ Daughter of Retd. Defence Personnel/ Physically Handicapped Defense Personnel/ Defence Personnel killed in war/ Defense Personnel posted in U.P (5%)
