SIU Nashik Academic Scholarships

SIU Nashik students are offered merit scholarships based on their performance and academic background. The scholarships are offered as tuition-fee waivers and help students pay the fees. However, the student or their family must pay other expenses like books and hostel/mess costs.

The academic SIU Nashik scholarships include:

• Partial Academic Scholarship for one postgraduate student, which pays 50% of their tuition fee
• Scholarship for African Foreign National students
• Jayatee Deshmukh Scholarship.

SIU Nashik Educate Africa Scheme

This SIU Nashik scholarship 2024 will be paid to meritorious African students under the "Educate Africa" scheme. This scheme helps strengthen the bonds between the two countries and helps students complete their professional degrees.

A 30% concession on the academic fees is offered to the students. However, any other expense is not covered by this scholarship.

• Only "Foreign Nationals" with a valid passport are allowed to apply.
• Indians, NRIs, OCI and PIO students are not eligible for this scholarship.
• The students must score more than 75% in their 10+2 and 60% in their graduation examinations to be eligible.
• The Students must also appear for an English Proficiency Test conducted by the British Council (IELTS). A score of 6 or the IELA Test with a minimum band of 3 is required for eligibility for this SCIT scholarship.
• In addition to the terms above, International students in short-term, doctoral and part-time programs are also not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
• Students must submit Marksheets, a Letter of Recommendation from the Ministry of Higher Education and a Statement of Purpose before being awarded this SIU Nashik scholarship.

SIU Nashik Jayatee Deshmukh Scholarship

• The Jayatee Deshmukh Scholarship comes under SIU Nashik scholarships for PG students.
• The scholarship is offered to one female student who secures the highest marks in the all-India SNAP test. 
• INR 75,000 is offered as an SIU Nashik scholarship, adjusted against the first instalment of the tuition fee.
• If a student is eligible for more than one scholarship/freeship by Symbiosis Society Foundation, then they are awarded only one scholarship/freeship per their preference.

SIU Nashik NER Scholarships for Students from North-East Region

Symbiosis International University Nashik scholarships are offered to meritorious students in the Northeast Region of India (NER). Students from the northeast states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Tripura Manipal, and Sikkim can apply for this scholarship.

This SIU Nashik scholarship waives only the academic fees. The rest of the expenses must be taken care of by the student.

NER Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria required for this scholarship are elucidated below:

• Only "NER" students are eligible for this SIU Nashik scholarship 2024.
• Indian, NRI, OCI, and PIO students do not qualify for this scholarship.
• International students in short-term, doctoral and part-time programs are not eligible.
• Candidates must pass 10+2 with more than 50% marks in aggregate.
• Postgraduate students also must pass their graduation with 50% or more marks.

SIU Nashik Scholarship Terms and Conditions

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) levies several terms and conditions that must be adhered to even after the scholarships are awarded to deserving students. The terms and conditions that must be followed for the SIU Nashik scholarship are mentioned below:

• The Selection Committee at SIU Nashik decides to select the candidate for the respective scholarship based on academic achievements. In addition, they also cross-check the statement of purpose and references submitted. 
• Students must note that the decision of the SIU Nashik Scholarship Committee will be final. Reasons for not being awarded the scholarship will not be provided to any candidate.
• Once awarded, students are not allowed to change the program for which they have been awarded the scholarship, even if the alternate program's duration and tuition fee are the same.
• Students must know that the scholarship offer does not guarantee that a student visa will be granted. Students are responsible for getting their student visas.
• SIU Nashik scholarship holders must exhibit good behaviour, maintain 75% attendance each semester and have a 6 GPA at the end of each semester with no backlogs in any subject. 
• Students must complete their choice of program within the stipulated duration. Any delay in completion is covered under the scholarship.
• In addition, the Symbiosis University Scholarship Committee reserves the right to cancel any awarded scholarship if any document lacks authenticity. Students must show original transcripts and documents along with the scholarship application.
• Under no circumstances is the scholarship duration extended if the scholar is not allowed to appear in the examination due to a shortage of attendance. 
• Suspension from the University for any reason will result in immediate withdrawal of the awarded SIU Nashik scholarship.
• If a student violates any terms and conditions of the scholarship, it will immediately cease. The amounts that have already been disbursed in that year must be paid back to the Foundation.
