Well, I have not done any internships and seen anyone else doing it throughout my entire 4 years of engineering. The key companies that come to the campus for recruitment are Tech Mahindra, L&T IT Firm, Wipro, and to name a few. I can't recall all of them. But, these are the ones that come every year. There is hardly any core company that comes for recruitment. All the students have to initially undergo an aptitude test given by the respective company. And then the further process goes on. For some, there might be a GD or so. And the last is an interview. Average salary package varies for every company but mostly it is around 2.5 to 3 Lakhs per year. Coming to the Alumni network they are well attached to everyone and have a good rapport with all.
The internship is available at this college and we can get stipend up to INR 20000. Many companies come here for campus placement and to hire the students.Companies like Accenture, will,Mahindra,Bosch,Volvo, Volkswagen,Amazon,Samaa,Dell,HP,BMW,etc. Average salary the one can get is around INR 3.5 lakh per annum. Up to 75% students get placed in campus selection.
Placements for IT and CE department are very good now many more companies are coming for even mechanical engineer also there is always an alumni meet.
Placements at St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology –
There has been a paradigm shift in the way businesses and industry is meeting their needs. A now years back campus recruitment was unheard of except at IITS, IlMs and NITs. However with the impact of liberalization campus drives have become a preferred source of recruitment. The role of MP department is not just to impart skills In aptitude development, group discussion and personal interview-the usual methods of screening, but to inculcate professional ethlis within students and make them as per industry need, mete the TAP department are in sync with the entire college, when they implement systems, processes and practices that endeavor to make future professionals.
