The Institute was established in 2005. Shree Ganpati Institute of Technology (SGIT) is on a mission to produce Technocrats who are original in thinking and innovative in approach and who are well suited to solve technological problems facing the nation and the world With in a short span of six years SGIT has acquired the status of best emerging Engineering College in the National Territory Capital region.

Indeed SGIT has been awarded as the "Best Engineering Institution with Quality Infrastructure in NCR" Indian Achievers Forum New Delhi. The college has been chosen for this coveted distinction based on three criteria.

Excellent faculty, state of infrastructure, and the art conductive environment. The faculty are hand picked from prestigious institutions such as IITs/IIITs/NITs/Reputed Universities with PhD, M Tech, MBA and M. Parham qualifications. The faculty inspire the students to their best in setting the personal example.

SGIT today boasts of 16 PhDs and 62 M Techs a feat few other engineering colleges can match. The equipment in the laboratories is so selected so as to reflect the latest requirements of the Industry.
