Shia College Lucknow Infrastructure: Library, Gym, Cafeteria & Other Facilities

The College provides all the basic amenities and facilities to the students. Some of the important features are as follows :

Laboratories : The laboratories in the Science Faculty are well-equipped with the latest instruments and apparatuses which are essential for proper scientific education. Visual and audiovisual aids like multi media DLP projector, cine projector, tape recorders, slide projector etc, are provided to facilitate instructions in various departments.

Museums :The Zoology, Botany and Anthropology Departments have separate museum with rare and valuable collection of animal fossils and plants collected from various parts of the country in the annual excursions undertaken by the staff and students of the College.

Library : There are two central Libraries of the College housed in spacious buildings one at Sitapur road Campus and the other at Victoria Street Campus. They have a large collection of books (including text books). There are wellfurnished spacious reading rooms attached to Central Library, at Sitapur Road Campus and at Victoria Street Campus where all important Newspapers, Journals and Magazines are provided for the benefit of the students of the College. All the departments of the Science Faculty have their own departmental libraries for the exclusive use of teachers. However, a Student Botany Library (S.B.L.) facility is available in Botany Deptt. and interested students may avail this facility on a nominal membership fee. The Department of Law has been designated Shia College of law. Library for law students has been separated and now it is full of latest books, journals and magazines.

Games & Sports : The College has always maintained a high standard in sports and games and all facilities are provided to talented students to improve their capabilities as sportsmen and players with the result that the College teams have earned laurels in every field, e.g., boxing, body-building, hockey, cricket, volley-ball, football and badminton. However, these facilities are available for students of all the faculties viz., Arts, Science, Commerce and Law at Daliganj Campus only.

Gymnasium : A gymnasium has been constructed with the financial assistance from National Sports Organisation, for the proper physical development of the students. Facilities for gymnastics and indoor games like badminton, table-tennis, carrom etc. are also provided.
