Drawing its name from the historical dynasty that ruled the present-day university's region, Satavahana University has established its competencies in everyone's eyes. A look into the university's core reveals a well-managed institution focused on delivering the optimum result for education and other co-related activities. The students' organic reviews on various online forums also say the same. They are mainly satisfied with the university.

Satavahana University has made considerable efforts in bringing in dedicated and experienced teachers. They ensure that they deliver knowledge on the most recent developments and subjects, thereby expanding the students' knowledge base. Furthermore, the university also aims to make the students' campus life interesting and engaging.

However, in all its smoothly operated aspects, one factor that dents its success is that of the placement records. While a large number of students do get placed, the compensation offered needs to be revised to the industry standards. It leaves the students much troubled about their future career prospects.

High-Quality Education

Satavahana University surely will not fall behind when it comes to providing a good quality education. However, a few students have also pointed out that for a few courses, the syllabus has not been revised for a few years thu, making it outdated. However, for most courses, the syllabi are reviewed regularly, and new topics are added consistently.

The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. These are offered in various fields such as Science, Arts, Commerce, Social Sciences, and more. Among all of the courses submitted, the most coveted are the B.Sc, B.Com, B.Pharm, BA, and MBA.

The admission process at Satavahana University is easy and uncomplicated. It is majorly based on the marks obtained in their final examinations. The cut-off is also not highly set. Hence, a good number of students get the opportunity to be admitted to the university. Even though the admission process is relatively easy, the semester exams are not so. The question papers are set and can range from moderately to very difficult. Hence, students need to put in much effort to prepare well for the exams. 

Being a government university, Satavahana University receives research funding. Although more might be needed, it also is not limited. Students in the doctoral program are thoroughly guided in their thesis to gain significant results at the end of their program.

Moderately Affordable Courses

Satavahana University has moderately priced course fees. As it is a wholly government-funded institution, the course fees must be low to cater to a broader pool of students. However, the university does not fit into the same idea though. The course fees are relatively higher compared to other private institutions.

For instance, for pursuing an M.Sc, the tuition fees can go up to INR 91,000, while for a B.Pharm, it can go to INR 2,00,000. A B.Ed degree can cost INR 66,000. Meanwhile, for MSW, it is INR 48,000. 

Such high fees might not be easily affordable to a lot of people. To counter this, the university offers few scholarships based on merit and the socioeconomic status of the students. However, such scholarships are limited.

Experienced Faculties

Satavahana University has recruited highly experienced and qualified faculties for its departments. The professors are also good-natured people who are helpful. They use simple teaching methods to make the subjects easily comprehensible to the students. Whenever any student needs help from the faculty members to clear their doubts, they are readily available, even after class hours.

It also must be noted that the class sizes at the university are relatively large. Given this, faculty members who focus on the individual students' academic needs are appreciable. Many faculty members are involved in research works and publish their studies and findings regularly in leading journals, etc.

Commendable Infrastructure

Satavahana University has built considerable infrastructure which is high-functioning and comes to the aid of the students at all stages. The campus features wide green roads and plenty of space for the students to enjoy. The spacious classrooms include various hi-tech amenities to make the learning environment enjoyable. These include projectors, smart boards, and more.

The classes also comfortably seat a large number of students. The laboratories are equipped with well-maintained equipment and the latest in the industry. Furthermore, the library houses many books, periodicals, journals, newspapers, research papers, etc., on various subjects besides academic topics. 

The important matter of fact at Satavahana University, when it comes to various facilities, is the fact that all are very well-maintained and clean. Starting the campus, to labs, to classrooms. Hence, the facilities rarely break down and become a hindrance to users. 

The university has an elaborate arrangement when it comes to sports. Various sports facilities, including hockey, badminton, basketball, Kabaddi, etc., are on campus, and the students can use them to be physically active. In addition to all of these facilities, the university also has a medical centre that is available for first aid purposes for students, professors and staff. 

Hospitable Hostels

Satavahana University offers hostel accommodations to both boys and girls. The students' organic reviews on various online platforms show that they enjoy and are highly satisfied with the hostel facilities. The hostel rooms are well-furnished and include all the necessary facilities for the student's comfort. 

The girl's hostel can accommodate up to 343 students in 158 rooms, while the boy's hostel can accommodate 228 students in 66 rooms. Both the hostels have clean drinking water facilities and a dedicated mess. The mess provides a variety of nutritious meals at reasonable prices. The hostel perimeter is also lined with security cameras, thus ensuring safety and security for all. The students can even stay outside at various paying guest options available in the city at low prices and good facilities.

Average Placement Record

Of all the commendable performances of a university, the placement area is where the university falls back behind. While many top recruiters visit the campus for recruitment, they do not offer industry-standard salaries. This might cause disappointment among students who hope to get placed and start their careers well. The average salary package ranges between INR 3 and 4 LPA. 

The placement cell looks after the smooth running of the recruitment process and conducts various training and awareness sessions. These training sessions include polishing one’s entrepreneurial skills, soft skills development, interview and group discussion skills, and many more.

Spirited Campus Life

For most parts, the campus life at Satavahana University is enjoyable. With various cultural and extracurricular activities being planned and celebrated, students get ample opportunities to engage, interact and be interested throughout the year. Sports facilities are so vast that they help students develop new interests and help sports enthusiasts sharpen their skills. The university mainly draws its students from the state, hence the diversity seen amongst the crowd from various social backgrounds. 

Rules, Regulations, and Dress Code

Satavahana University does not have strict rules or regulations implemented. However, the students must follow the basic code of conduct to maintain the decorum of the college. Moreover, the students also need to keep a 75% attendance record to be able to sit for the semester exams. Furthermore, there is also no uniform or unified dress code that the students need to abide by.

Is Satavahana University Worth it?

Satavahana University has slowly become synonymous with good education. Besides education, it maintains a holistic approach towards the overall development of the students. Moreover, with its hi-tech facilities, it also ensures that it is maintained well and clean so it does not malfunction. All of these have also been told by its students. Mostly, they are satisfied with the university.

The only drawback is that of the compensation offered by the university. It is not up to the mark, and the management needs to intervene to make the salaries offered at least align with the industry standards.
