Wi-Fi Campus & E Classrooms

As Modern Technology and internet has opened the door the door to a plethora of new opportunities to learn here in the classrooms it has become easier to research communicate and study teachers carry laptops to the classrooms and lectures are designed to enhance the student participation and presentation skills interactive whiteboards provide an instant interface between the classroom and cyber space allowing teachers to transform lectures into real time multi media presentation. 21st Century belongs to Era of Web Information Internet plays backbone for every aspect of life. Understanding the need and importance of Internet in the field of education the campus at Gharuan is supported by round the clock High Speed Internet Connectivity of 100Mbps and have strong backbone of dedicated OFC link throughout the campuses with the help of which the students can surf the Web and can enhance their knowledge as well as extract unlimited e-Information. In addition to this, the students are also being provided Wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi) using which the students can access online information anywhere in and around the campus using their Laptops and Hand-held devices. Spacious e-classrooms with excellent ambience and equipped with all the modern teaching aids like LCD, NPTEL video courses, multi media projectors, etc. are available to the student.

Library

Library is one of the assets of the college which provides ample of knowledge to the readers our library is the storehouse of book- books of all genre and subjects. It covers the basic features of library that is magazines newspapers subscriptions and periodicals etc the library is in enriched with periodicals and research papers that represent the achievements and glory of writers, statesmen, scientist and philosophers. An easy access of books (free of cost) to every readers open up a learning and zealous environment to grab more and more knowledge about the library which is also enriched with modern facility to make the reading environment comfortable our library is centralized Ac chairs tables in front adequate lightening arrangement s and librarian to help and guide the reader make the place a veritable sanctuary fir for even the most serious and zealous students. College can proudly say that the library is well equipped library which is every student's friend and guide.

Laboratories

SECG has well equipped laboratories for ECE Department :Network and Electronic devices, Control Systems, Microprocessors, Industrial Electronics Communication Systems, Microwaves, Optoelectronics , Television, Digital Systems, Electronics Measurement Devices, Fibre Optics and Microwave equipments. The labs also covers Field of Basic Electronic, Digital Electronics and Microprocessors, Internet Labs with Servers, Electrical Measurements Laboratory, Electronics Circuits Laboratory, Power SystemPower Electronics Laboratory.

SECG has latest labs for CSE & IT Department vise. FCPIT, OOPS, DS, OS, DC, SP, WP, RDBFS, FLAT, DBMS, NOS, E-COM, DAA, DOTNET etc. The Institute is approved by Govt.Of Punjab and AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Punjab technical University, Jalandhar. SECG has acknowledged reputation for excellence in research and teaching. Hostel

SECG offers comprehensive hostel facilities within the campus. SECG knows that most of the students are moving away from home for the first time, so SECG strive to make the transition as smooth as possible by two hostels for girls with hostel warden in each hostel to supervise day to day management. Each hostel is self contained with amenities such as reading room, indoor games room, lounge and dining hall. Each hostel operates its own mess providing hygienic and nutritious three meals a day, with a varied menu. The Warden of hostels is the incharge of the hostels .She is assisted by Students, Team of hostel representatives and mess presidents. The discipline in the hostel is looked by the proctor of the college. Hostel accommodation will be provided for all students.Chief Warden checks the wardens duties at regular intervals.

The students who opt to stay with their parents/guardians in the city, may be allowed to do so with the permission of the principal on the basis of a written undertaking form the parents/guardians to the fact that they will take part in all the extra-curricular activities of the college. The students are required to conform to all hostel/mess rules, which may be enforced by warden from time to time as approved by the principal. The allotted hostel accommodation may be cancelled during the vacations as and when decided by Principal. The Girls Hostels enjoy a special priveledge of having a three tier security levels and a seperate campus which is well equipped to the satisfaction of boarders and it gives a special incentive to them to look ahead with this unique proposition being offered by SECG Campus. Hostel Facilities : Below are the Hostel Facilities normally available, subject to variations with respect to the hostel room pattern allotted.

Computer Center

College has state-of-art Computer Centre that house a large number of 300 computers equipped with latest Technology. The institute has a 6 Mbps internet bandwidth connection.

SECG has tie up with a reputed hospital which is close proximity to the college. A team of qualified doctors is available to provide regular and intensive medical care to our students. An emergency mobile van is also available bound the clock to ensure timely healthcare.

Gymnasium

A well equipped Air-conditioned in the campus has latest instruments and machines ensuring better fitness and health facilities for the students, faculty and staff Instructors and trainers are available throughout the day to train the gym enthusiasts.

Sports

The college has a well equipped sports department. The sports complex has one multipurpose hall for indoor games that is chess badminton table tennis and carrom board ,multi gym, yoga etc. The sports equipments are used by the students during tournaments. The inter branches tournaments are conducted in various games that is chess football badminton table tennis , 100m race, 200m race etc.
