PIET - Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology Infrastructure: Library, Hostel, Labs, Auditorium, Cafeteria & Other Facilities

PIET offers state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities to its students. The internet facility at PIET is one of its prominent features. The entire campus has a broadband internet connection. Fast internet connectivity plays an important role in facilitating the academic as well as research and development activities for the faculty and students at the institute.

PIET Campus Facilities

Below is an overview of the facilities offered by the institute.

Transport- The Institute provides exclusive transport facilities from Delhi, Panipat, Karnal, Sonipat, Rohtak, Saffidon, Kurukshetra and adjoining areas. It has its own fleet of AC and Deluxe Buses in the Institute.

Dispensary- The institute provides 24 hours Medicare facilities to the students and its employees. A dormitory is set up for the use of PIETians.The Institute has its own dispensary with a qualified Doctor and a Pharmacist for regular health care of students and staff. First-aid boxes are also provided at appropriate locations (hostels, workshops and with sports in charge)

Wi-Fi Campus- The institute provides a 24 hours 10 MBPS  wireless Internet connectivity on the campus to the users.

Extensive Digital Library- PIET consists of a central library and also has several departmental libraries. Centralized on user services, the library makes every effort to provide an enjoyable learning environment for users. This system enables the library to open for extended hours and connects the users with Digital, Virtual Reference & Referral Services, Mobile Services, Digital Resources, Internet communications, Reprography Services, Book Bank Services & Inter-Library Loan.

Open Air Theatre- To provide a boost to the co-curricular activities and other various cultural functions, an Open Air Theatre has been built for the use of Pietians.

Cafeteria- The institute has a cafeteria, which provides vegetarian meals and snacks to day scholars, faculty and staff.

Smart Classrooms- Our smart classrooms rest to be a masterpiece of our infrastructure at PIET. Facilitating efficient teaching and learning, these classrooms enable a learning experience with utmost comfort to the students.

Bank and ATM- To cater to the monetary requirements of the PIETians, an ATM facility is provided on the campus by OBC (Oriental Bank of Commerce) Bank, so as to allow transactions of money at any time.

Internet Cafe/Computing Centres

• The computer centre of PIET is completely connected with an excellent Wi-Fi network and serves as a backbone network for the labs of the entire campus.
• It has advanced IT facilities with adequate systems loaded with licensed Operating Systems and Software Packages.
• The network infrastructure is being served by Lenovo Servers, Servers including Domain Controllers, DNS Servers, Mail Server, Proxy Server, Database Server and Print Server.
• The power infrastructure is supported with a heavy-duty uninterrupted power supply for all systems and servers to avoid data loss.
• Members of the PIET family can access the internet round the clock on the campus.
• The campus is equipped with the latest multimedia facilities like electronic smart boards, language lab, multimedia LCD projectors, overhead projectors, scanners, DVD writers, laser printers, digital cameras etc.

Gymnasium

• In its utilitarian drive to boost a robust lifestyle of Pietians and of the city-dwellers in the vicinity of Panipat.
• PIET has extended a unique sports & recreational facility in the form of a state-of-the-art Gymnasium on the PIET Sanskriti School’s salubrious campus, Panipat.
• The imposing gym has installed 26 workstations equipped with globally-branded Fitline Machines.
• It has employed a Rebook-Certified Trainer with a view to providing to the users the best-in-class health-inducing exercises including aerobics.
• The provisions of world-class amenities like a cloakroom, faucet-controlled shower jets, posh wash-rooms, steam-bath, etc. add grandeur to the Gymnasium.
• The Gym is available to the entire PIET fraternity and to the city residents after due registration post-school hours.
• The addition of the Gym is precisely in pursuit of the institute’s pronounced conviction that a sound mind lives in a sound body.

Hostel Facility

• The boys’ hostel has the capacity of about 150 boys (extendable up to 200) whereas the girls’ hostel can house 50 girls (can be extended up to 100).
• Hostels have Common Rooms, Gym, Badminton Courts, Volleyball grounds and facilities for other indoor games.
• They are the first ones in the region to have students from other countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and all are residing in the hostel with a feeling.
