Practical Labs

The Pacific Institute of Hotel Management offers the essential requisites such as lecture theatres, seminar halls, well equipped laboratories to cope with the revolutionary changes taking place in the educational system. So to keep the pace with the changing needs of the evergrowing Hotel and Tourism Industry, the Institute offer all the practical labs and equipments,to facilitate students shaping their career in the fastest growing Hotel and Tourism Industry.

Front Office Lab

The institute has a well designed front office lab updated with the latest softwares. Since it is the first point of contact with the guest in the hotel, students are taught about the various phrases and welcoming addresses of the hotel industry. The institute also has a front office counter, public address system, bulletin board and other accessories.

Basic Training Kitchen (BTK)

This kitchen is used primarily to introduce the art of cooking to the students. It deals with basic preparation of ingredients, commodities and handling of equipments. It also helps them in preparation of the other kitchen and is a liaison between them.It acts as a base for students leading towards advanced training.

Quantity Food Kitchen (QFK)

It provides in depth knowledge about the commercial food setup of banquets and catering, used for bulk cooking and is a launching pad for new courses generating familiarity with the art and science of cooking as an essential part of good hospitality operations.

Advance Training Kitchen (ATK)

After having mastered the basics, the students are then provided with the advanced knowledge of particular cuisines and their respective presentation in this area. The cuisines which are considered for training are Indian, Oriental, Continental, Chinese, Mexican, Arabic, Italian and Spanish.

Bakery and Confectionery

This area deals with highly sophisticated equipments installed to provide training of basic Bakery and confectionery products such as sponge, pies, cookies, biscuits, pudding, soufflé, mousse, ice cream, cake and chocolate works.The training is conducted by specialized Bakery chef.

Basic Training Restaurant (BTR)

The basic techniques of the food service are inculcated in this area with all the modern amenities available here. It intends to acquaint students with the intrigues of the restaurant service and the standards.

Advanced Training Restaurant (ATR) with Bar

The techniques of serving food, wines, cocktails, mocktails and spirits in restaurant helps the students to learn the various standards of service at par with the industry. They are here taught the same and also about the specific style of services done in different cuisines and beverages.

Housekeeping Lab

The well furnished housekeeping lab is equipped with laundry area, electrical and non electrical cleaning equipments where in students are trained about the latest trends of the industry. Students are also taught about the uses of various chemicals and accommodation upkeeps of the industry.

Guest Room

To cope up with advancements in the Hotel Industry, this area gives a feel of live working environment. This area is fully furnished and equipped with amenities as per the guest room in a Hotel.

Computer Lab

The Institute has a well equipped computer lab with broadband internet applications. The students are extensively exposed to the use of standard softwares and their utilization in management problem solving.

Library

The Institute has a wealthy, upgraded and well furnished library where in books of many disciplines of the hotel Industry are available. The library also has a collection of many national and international journals, magazines, and newspapers.

Seminar Hall

The Institute has a very modern seminar hall with a sitting capacity of 200 persons wherein hi-tech facilities like electronic board, electronic podium, projector, etc. are available providing a house for the guest lectures and workshops.

Language Lab

The headphone and installed setup of the software "GLOBARENA" assist the students in increasing their communication skills as well as to promote their basic computer knowledge.

Cafeteria

PIHM has an air – conditioned cafeteria “Zayka” for students with 200 covers sitting capacity and all the modern amenities like television, music system and dish washer.

Common Room

Boys common room and Girls common room are the places where students are provided with safety lockers where they can keep their valuables safe and secure. It also provides an area for changing and freshening up.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The student must pass the 12th-grade or any equivalent exam with the percentage above 60% to get the admission in this college.
