Students who wish to pursue North Orissa University (NOU Orissa) Ph.D (Economics) must fulfill the minimum eligibilty criteria as mentioned below. .

Educational Qualification	Required Eligibility
Completed Master Degree	55 %

Admission shall be made on the basis of the merit list.
Reservation for SC and ST students are as per Government of Odisha norms.
5% of seats are reserved for persons with disabilities (PWD)
Candidates have to successfully complete the internal Entrance exam and Career Assesment to secure a seat.
Master's Degree holders having secured at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade at Master's Degree are eligible for PhD.
The candidates who have qualified UGC-CSIRNET/GATE/INSPIRE from UGC are exempted from such tests and interviews.
