MSU Baroda was found by Maharaja Sayajirao's grandson Sir Pratapsinghrao Gaekwad started in the year 1949, earlier it was known as Baroda College which was established in the year 1881. It is accredited by UGC, NAAC and affiliated to The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.

MSU, Vadodara offers 134 courses across fifteen streams namely Arts, Design, Performing Arts, Pharmacy, Engineering, IT, Science, Vocational, Management, Education, Commerce and Banking, Law, Paramedical, Media and Mass Communication, Medical and across 36 degrees like BVA, BSc, B.Tech, BA, B.Com. MSU architecture cut off is based on the cut off marks decided by the University.
