Nursing has become a dynamic profession worldwide. The new, holistic concepts of health have brought fresh challenges to the nursing profession. Recognizing that some of the biggest challenges are due to cultural differences, the Career Development Centre at Lourde College of Nursing seeks to develop and refine those softer skills of communication, cultural understanding and people interaction. We believe that exceptional professionalism is necessary in all spheres of health care and personal conduct. Our goal is to provide students with the tools needed to bring confidence, professional demeanour and high standards of excellence to every situation in which they find themselves in the international arena.

The Career Centre assists students with all facets of the career development process including job searching techniques, personal career counselling and networking. Events and workshops will be hosted on campus, giving students the opportunity to interact and learn from professionals in the nursing field. Lourde College of Nursing seeks to establish a strong presence in hospitals and health care institutions of repute, both regionally and internationally, through targeted networking, job fairs and country visits. We strive to give our students every resource possible to help them achieve their professional goals.

Our unique Career Development Center offers personalized guidance, resources for all career related tasks, cross cultural training and valuable connections to hospitals and clinics around the world. The Center helps our nursing students navigate their career options during their years at our College and is staffed with experienced professionals to support the students with exploring different career options to finding internships to looking for part-time and full-time employment opportunities.
