The Campus :-

Lisieux College of Education is situated at Viswasapuram, Saravanampatti in Coimbatore district. The campus is a splendor of plain terrain often drenched in soft comforting wind that alleviates the arid distress. A distant but panoramic view of the mountains across the terrain makes the campus hearty and captive. The serene and scenic beauty fascinates the young scholastics to prefer Lisieux College of Education at all times. The locality is adorned with many educational institutions and it is known as the IT Hub of Coimbatore city.

Library and Resource Centre

The Library, the knowledge hub of Lisieux College of Education, provides comprehensive access to books, journals, Magazines and daily Newspapers.

Lab and Training Facilities

Science Resource Center

The College has a very well equipped science lab for the experimentations in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. All the required specimens of animals and plants, acids, basis, salts are arranged so as to provide the opportunities for learning by doing and learning through experimentation.

Educational Technology Resource Center

To keep pace with the rapid advancement in educational technology, it is essential that the teacher trainees acquire adequate knowledge and skills in the application of information technology in the teaching - learning situations. The Audio Visual laboratory is equipped with Over Head Projector, Epidiascope, 16mm projector, Slide Projectors, Tape Recorder, Radio, Public Address System, Television, VCP, Camera, Video Camera, and LCD etc. A well-equipped   language laboratory with 25 CD systems is made available for the Teacher Trainees.

Computer Resource Center

Computer learning has become inseparable part of academics. Knowledge of computers is very important for the teachers so as to provide the students the updated knowledge of every field. To facilitate the learning of computers the college provides the computer lab with16 computers having 24hrs internet facility (Broadband with Wi-Fi facility)

Language Resource Center

The College possesses a Centre for Excellence in Learning Languages (CCLL). The Language Laboratory is very well made and well maintained with lingua-phones;20 students can sit together and can practice phonetics.

Psychology Resource Center

As per the guidelines of the NCTE, we have established a Psychology Laboratory in the college with more than twenty tests to check the intelligence, certainty, personality adjustment ability, teaching aptitude, interest and academic achievements. Verbal and nonverbal and performance tests are available in the lab. Students are given practical sessions to familiarize themselves with various psychological tests and obtain practical skills in their administration, scoring and interpretation. Every student is required to administer a minimum of five psychology tests and keep a practical record of these tests. Psychological testing is very important part of B.Ed. curriculum as it adds to the knowledge of the teacher regarding personality type and the intelligence of the students. 

Physical Education Resource Center

Every educationist emphasizes that healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Therefore, health education has become compulsory part of any educational system. Keeping this in view, the college has arranged a sports room to provide opportunities for both indoor and outdoor games. The college has playgrounds spread over more than 1.5 acres of land which facilitates basketball, volley ball and shuttle badminton. Considering the importance of Physical health and physical education for teacher trainees, well qualified health and physical instructors guide the students in the physical education department to organize various indoor and outdoor programmes.

Music Room

The college facilitates a music room equipped with various musical instruments for the developing pupil’s musical talents.

Art And Crafts Resource Center

Work experience and basic knowledge about Art and Craft adds to the personality of a teacher. The college possesses an Art and Craft room with well qualified Art teachers to guide the students so as to train the pupil proper use black board/white board, to make them draw simple figures and diagrams properly, and to make their teaching topics more understandable to the students.
