The J D College Of Engineering & Management lays emphasis on placement and training of students in various industries, preparing them to face the real life situations after graduation. An exclusive cell collects the data of the graduating students and maintains a comprehensive database ready for reference of interview committees. The cell arranges industrial training for the students during their summer and winter holidays.

Campus interviews are drawn up and companies from various sectors will conduct interviews and recruit candidates. The cell also conducts a series of entrepreneur development programs..

MAJOR FUNCTIONS 

1. Planning and organizing campus as well as off-campus selection activities.
2. Inviting specialists to address students on self-enhancement, confidence building, etc.
3. Conducting Individual Development Program on regular basis to the students of II year to final year course of all branches. This deals with soft skill development, Personality Development, etc.
4. Organizing Aptitude Tests to students through the respective departments.
5. Conducting GDs, Mock Interviews, etc., to prepare the students to face interviews.
6. Coordinating for Industrial Visits and vacation In-plant Training in industries for students from 2nd year onwards.

PLACEMENT PROCEDURE:

1. Companies are invited to the college by the placement team
2. To the responding companies, the details of the final year students opting for placement are sent as per their requirement.
3. The company is assigned a convenient date.After conformation by the company, a pre-placement talk s arranged on the date
4. The company conducts test and/or group discussion to short list the interested students.
5. The short listed students are then interviewed for final selection by the company.
6. The result is usually announced on the same day.
