Chandragupt Institute of Technology was established in the year 2008 with the support of Govt, of Bihar while contributing to the growth of the state by training and developing management professionals. The institute offers a Post-graduate Diploma in Management which is accredited by NBA and approved by AIU. Chandragupt Institute of Management’s Fellow Program in Management is a full-time residential program for graduate students. Chandragupt Institute of Management admission has also initiated an 11-month Executive Program in Management sponsored by the Govt. of Bihar for experienced professionals. Admissions for PGDM are based on the exams CAT/ XAT/ CMAT. Candidates applying for the Fellow Program in Management should have a valid test score from any of the acceptable tests such as CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ NET.

Chandragupt Institute of Management offers a two-year full-time residential Post-Graduate Diploma in Management to prepare the students for various leadership roles and to inculcate problem-solving and decision-making skills and abilities. The institute follows core courses in the first year and offers numerous electives in the second year focusing on various functional areas of management such as Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations, and IT and the students can distribute the electives across one or more of the functional areas. Eligible candidates have to submit their CAT/ XAT/ XMAT test scores while applying for admission.

Candidates seeking admission to PGDM programme at Chandragupt Institute of Management must have passed Bachelor's degree with a minimum marks percentage.

• Applicants must have passed Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of SC/ ST and Differently Abled candidates] from a recognized university or institute.
• Those who are appearing in their final year graduation or those who have completed graduation and awaiting results are also eligible to apply. Such applicants will be allowed to join provisionally, only if the candidate submits certificate latest by June 30th 2021 from the Principal or Registrar of his/ her college stating that the applicant has completed all formalities for obtaining the graduation qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate.

CIMP, Patna PGDM Selection Process

Applicants must maintain a valid email account and a phone number throughout the selection process. Candidates must note that mere fulfilment of the required eligibility may not ensure consideration for shortlisting. Admission to PGDM programme at CIMP, Patna is through the Common Admission Test [CAT], Xavier Aptitude Test [XAT] and Common Management Admission Test [CMAT]. Selection of applicants for PGDM admission for the 2021 academic year is a three-step process as follows:

1. The shortlisting of applicants is done based on CAT, XAT and CMAT test scores followed by previous academic record and relevant work experience.
2. Shortlisted applicants will be called to attend a Writing Ability Test [WAT], Group Discussion [GD] and Personal Interview [PI] during March 2021. Candidates will be informed about the GD/ PI schedule through emails or phone.
3. The final merit list is prepared after considering weighted scores of various components such as academic record, test score, work experience, and performance in Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The institute proposes to fill the number of seats in the proportion of applicants received through CAT [70%], XAT [10%], CMAT [20%]. The final admission offer will be declared in the third week of April 2021. Applicants will be notified by courier/ speed post, registered post or emails. Applicants are shortlisted on the basis of the overall rank computed taking into account the following components.

Chandragupt Institute of Management, Patna admission offers a full-time residential Fellow Program in Management approved by AICTE, MHRD, Govt of India. The first year of the program commences along with the Post-Graduate program in Management. In the first year, students learn the basic concepts in the areas of Business Communication, Finance & Accounting, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, Systems and Operations, and Quantitative Technique. Followed by courses related to Research Methodology, Managerial Statistics, Systems Approach to Management, and General Management along with core area courses in the second year. Along with this, the students are prepared for research work in the second year. The students are expected to complete the work and thesis in 4 years. Students start with independent research work with supervision from third-year onwards.

Candidates seeking admission to Fellow Programme in Management must have passed Master's degree in the relevant stream. Candidates appearing their final year Masters degree examination are also eligible to apply. 

• Candidates must have passed Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering/ Management/ Technology/ Economics/ Social Science/ Biological Science/ Pure Science/ Commerce/ Humanities with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university are eligible to apply.
• Those who are appearing for their final year Master's degree or who have appeared and awaiting results are also eligible to apply. Those candidates will be given admission provisionally, only if he/ she submits certificate latest by June 30th 2021 from the Principal/ Registrar of his/ her college stating that the applicant has completed all the formalities for obtaining the Master's degree.

CIMP, Patna FPM Selection Process

1. Candidates are required to obtain a valid test score in any of the acceptable test: CAT/ GMAT/ GRE or NET.
2. The applicant must submit a synopsis of about 5000 words on the area of their research interest [Tentative research proposal] along with his/ her application.
3. Every applicant must make a presentation before the selection committee.
4. Candidates are shortlisted based on CAT/ GMAT/ GRE or NET scores followed by previous academic record, relevant work experience and quality of presentation. 
5. Shortlisted candidates are called for a Research Proposal Presentation and Personal Interview [PI] during April-May 2021 [Tentatively]. 
6. Candidates will be informed about the Research Proposal Presentation and Personal Interview [PI] schedule by emails.

Chandragupt Institute of Management EXPM Admission 2021

Chandragupt Institute of Management, Patna offers an 11-month Executive Program in Management focusing on general management orientation, business skills, modern practices and is designed especially for technical experts, government officers, and other working professionals. This program instils leadership and management qualities among them to take up more challenging roles and decisions in the future. Candidates are required to submit the completed application form on or before the due date of submission. The first level of screening will be done on the basis of application forms. Selected candidates will be called for a personal interview later. The final selection is done based on the overall performance of the candidate in all components of the selection process.
