Chandigarh University Scholarships

Chandigarh University offers scholarships to eligible applicants. Candidates must meet the eligibility conditions set by the university to avail of the scholarships. More details regarding the Chandigarh University scholarship are given below. 

Post Graduate Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC and ST

The scheme was created with the social background of candidates from the weaker sections of society to allow them to pursue postgraduate studies in professional subjects such as engineering, technology, management, and pharmacy in Indian universities, institutes, and colleges.

Eligibility

Scholarships will be awarded to students pursuing professional courses at the following institutions, colleges or universities:

  • Universities, institutions, colleges included under section 2(f) & and 12(B) of UGC Act.
  • Deemed to be Universities included under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 and eligible to receive grants-in-aid from UGC
  • Universities, institutions, colleges funded by the centra or state government.
  • Institutes of National Importance.

Pre-Earned Credit Program Scholarship

In this scheme, the university will provide scholarships on the academic fees up to 50% as per the following criteria after appearing in the coding boot camp certification test:

For BE CSE/IT and Its Specialisation Courses (NON-IBM Courses)

Merit Scholarship Schemes for the Academic Session 2022-2023

A) For engineering courses, the scholarship in Chandigarh University based on JEE-Mains (All India Rank) maximum 5% of total intake seats in each course shall be offered.

C) Scholarship Scheme for Under Graduate courses (Based on 12th Exam)- Maximum 10% of total intake seats in each course shall be offered.

F) Teaching Assistant Option for M.Sc and ME Students with Stipend of Rs.5000 to Rs.8000/- per month subject to maximum 10 months in a year.

G) Scholarship for Students Who Have Participated in National Children Science Congress

  • Every year, the top ten NCSC award recipients will receive a fee waiver of 100% if they enrol in any UG course at Chandigarh University.
  • If they enrol in any UG course at Chandigarh University, students who compete in the NCSC will receive a 10% cost remission.

H) CGPA Based Scholarship: If the student does not have any other scholarship, a 10% award will be given to a CGPA of 9.0 or higher.

I) NATA/ JEE (Main) Score Based Scholarship

Chandigarh University has launched a new scholarship initiative, "Architecture Scholarship based on NATA/ JEE (Main) Score," for students accepted during the Academic Session 2022-23, to encourage deserving candidates to apply for admission to the B.Arch. The University will provide the following scholarship on Academic Fees under this plan, subject to the following terms and conditions:

JEE (Main) percentile equal to more than 80 but less than 85
NATA Score from 90-99.99 10% of Academic Fee

Teaching Assistant Stipend

Teaching Assistant Option for M.Sc and ME Students with Stipend of Rs.5000 to Rs.8000/- per month subject to maximum 10 months in a year.

Other Concessions for the Academic Year 2022-2023

A) Old Student Concession Policy to Promote Higher Education

Students from the entire CGC group who seek admission to Chandigarh University after completing their qualifying degree/diploma will receive a scholarship equal to 10% of the annual fee for the duration of the program.

B) Single Girl Child Concession

For the duration of the study, Chandigarh University offers a 10% discount on the annual price to single girl children.

C) Teacher’s Ward Concession

For the whole duration of the course (Teachers of Govt. / Govt. accredited schools/ colleges/ universities), the Chandigarh University offers a 10% discount to the wards of teachers (if the teacher has at least one year of regular employment). Under this arrangement, a maximum of 5% of the total seats in each course will be offered.

D) Sibling Concession

The Chandigarh University grants a 10% yearly fee reduction to one of the siblings enrolled in any Chandigarh University institute, as long as both siblings are enrolled in the university. Even if one sibling passes away, the concession will be permitted to continue.

E) Concession to Girl Sibling

Both female siblings receive a 10% discount on their annual fees at Chandigarh University for the duration of their studies. Even if one sibling passes away, the concession will be permitted to continue.

F) For Orphan Candidates

20% of concession will be given, and in the case of Single Parent, 10% of concession is already applicable.

G) Early bird scholarship

Early bird scholarship to the Master of Engineering Programs as per the following conditions:

  • 15 (Fifteen) percent scholarship to be given to the students who have completed Bachelors of Engineering from Chandigarh University, provided they pay the full semester fee at the time of admission
  • 10 (Ten) percent scholarship to be given to the students who have completed Bachelors of Engineering/Technology from other recognised Universities/Institutes.

H) Alumni Scholarship

10% concession will also be allowed to the real brother/ sister/spouse/Wards of the alumni student of this university.

Scholarship Scheme for Wards of Defense Personnel for the Academic Year 2022-2023

Concession shall be as follows:-

  • Concession of 15% of the annual fee for war widows and wards of war casualties, war-injured and discharged defence personnel, spouse and wards, war crippled defence personnel, spouse and wards, war disabled defence personnel, getting superannuated, spouse and wards.
  • For the wards/spouses of current and former defence personnel, a 10% discount on the annual price is available.
  • For wards/spouses of paramilitary forces personnel, a 10% discount on the annual price is available.

Architecture Scholarship based on Nata/jee (Main) Score.

NATA/ JEE (Main) Score Based Scholarship: The University has launched a new scholarship initiative, "Architecture Scholarship based on NATA/ JEE (Main) Score," for students accepted during the Academic Session 2022-23, to encourage deserving candidates to apply for admission to the B.Arch. Scholarship for Family Members of Chandigarh University Staff for Session 2022-2023

  • Wards/spouses and true brothers/sisters of Only Chandigarh University staff with at least one year of regular service would receive a 50% academic fee reduction. It will continue as long as Chandigarh University employs the employee.

Per semester they will charge 45000/- per head. They provide scholarship on the basis of 12th percentage and cucet exam. 80 percent of students will get scholarship. No, loans are not needed.

My course fee is 1,84,000 per year. All the student get scholarship on the basis of cucet results. If you not able to pay fee you can apply for a loan .

  • 40% of the student get scholorship, but only 8% of them can retain it after the first year(CGPA> 7.5)
  • CU provides financial aid by providing a loan.
