Infrastructure :-

Bhartiya College of education is located in the city of Udhampur at a distance of 65 kms from Jammu. It is housed in a multistoreyed building which comprises of 20 spacious classrooms, Audio-visual room; chamber of chairperson, principal’s chamber, office, computer lab, science lab. In addition to this the college provides excellent infrastructure like spacious library having 3000 books, reading room, multipurpose hall and big examination hall. There are separate toilet blocks for male and female. The college also provides basic amenities for the male and female students like girls’ common room, boys’ common room, canteen facility, aqua guard for pure drinking water. There is lush green lawn in front of the college building which adds beauty to the campus. Separate parking arrangements have been provided for two and four wheelers.

Library

Bhartiya’s well-equipped and efficiently maintained Library with a computerized user-friendly data filing system, functions as an invaluable aid to every aspiring trainee. The Library employs the LMS computerized library management system. The library presently boasts of an impressive stock of over one five thousand books. New books are added to the library through the course of each academic year. The library with its open-rack system, spacious reading room and reference section provides an atmosphere conducive to academic work. The Library staff is always available to assist students in finding material needed for their course work and other related pursuits.

Hostel

Management provides separate hostel for male and female, situated at a large distance apart. Each hostel comprises of excellent comfortable accommodation along with spacious dining hall, recreation hall with TV etc. Aqua guard drinking water facility has also been provided. For convenience of hoteliers, there is 24 hours uninterrupted power supply and STD/PCO facility available well inside the hostel. It is advisable that the non-Local female/male students should stay in the hostel so that they can study seriously. An admission or for seeking admission in hostel is available from the office which is to the filled up by the concerned and be submitted in the office. The rent charges for the hostel are fixed by university authorities.

Computer Lab

The College provides a well equipped Computer laboratory with LAN Network for students to carry out their innovative. The computer laboratory was redesigned in a unique sitting pattern to facilitate imparting of instructions as well as have freedom of movement between desks for the instructor to assist students individually. All the apparatus and PCs are upgraded to meet the requirements of changing technology and the University syllabi.

The laboratories are used by the students who take up search topics, Power point Presentation, Projects, and Assignments.

Games & Sports

The department works towards the health, fitness and wellbeing of the entire Bhartiya community. Its multi disciplinary prominence is the main characteristic of the department.

The department has been successful in looking beyond the stereotype image of sports limited to the sports fields and mere matter of winning and losing. The department organizes talks, workshops & Seminars to bring awareness amongst the students with special reference to wellness, fitness, sports injuries, sports nutrition and drug abuse in sports etc. It also engages with elementary education department to teach physical education course. The department invites eminent sports personalities and sports scientist to engage with students.

Bhartiya sports have a very vibrant calendar. The most awaited events are the Annual Sports Meet and Inter College Sports meets which witnesses the participation from over district institutions.

The college has qualified and experienced University appointed Teacher of Physical Education, designated as Director to Plan, Coordinate and Execute the functioning of Physical Education and Sports Setup in the college. The main purpose of the Unit is to initiate, Coordinate, Execute and manage various kinds of Sports Activities in the college to promote general interest in Games and Sports and to improve the standard of Competitive Sports and Games.

Canteen

The Canteen of Bhartiya is indeed the most popular haunt for some very obvious reasons. Great food at affordable prices in a good ambience make the canteen the most frequently visited place in the college It is currently run by a local vendor who keeps great care in providing hygienic food/ eatables.

The canteen of Bhartiya offers a wide range of items that cater to every taste. There is absolutely no doubt that Bhartiya has the BEST Canteen among the local colleges.

First Aid Room

The College has a well-equipped medical room with 2 beds. First aid facilities, a blood pressure machine are available in this medical room and there is a doctor on campus to cater to students who report minor health related issues. In case of any emergency, the student is rushed to a nearby hospital/medical center.
