The Research & Development Cell

The institute has a  Research and Development cell which is led by scholarly faculty members. There is a repository of International and National journals, volumes of online lectures, E-Book collections which aid the research process. The ambience of the institute encourages and supports various research projects. At present, ten such projects are running successfully under the mentorship and guidance of the faculty. These projects are funded by organisations such as UGC, BRNS, AICTE etc.

Recently, the EIE department secured MODROBS grant for upgrading their Embedded System and Electronic Design Automation Lab. A brand new Fluid power control system lab named, The JIS Bosch-Rexroth Centre of Excellence has been installed. The institute also has two highly developed advanced Language Laboratories. They are guided and installed with assistance from ORELL and ISILS (IIT-KGP). It features language learning tools, state of the art PI systems to ensure the students develop their personality, communication and language skills necessary for a successful career.

NIT has collaborations with corporate bodies such as Tech Mahindra, Oracle, INFOSYS, TCS, Reliance JIO Infocomm, CII, NASSCOM and institutes such as NIT Sikkim, IIT-KGP, AIT Bangkok and other reputed institutes.

Seminars, conferences, industry visits, workshops, field training are organised by the institute frequently to educate the students on the newest innovations in the field of technology and management.
