The SRMJEEE Entrance Examination, which is mandatory for admission to B.Tech & M.Tech (SRMJEEE), MBA (SRMJEEM), and Health Sciences - UG & PG (SRMJEEH) will be held from 1st of April to the 30th of April 2017 in a total of 118 center's across India and 5 centers in the Middle East. The entrance examination scores are considered for admission to all four campuses of SRM University - Chennai, Haryana, Amaravati and Sikkim.
The uniqueness of this year’s SRMJEEE is that any candidate who applies online till the 25th of April 2017 can attempt for SRMJEEE. Candidates who appear for SRMJEEE and secure a valid score before the 30th of April will be eligible for the on-campus counselling scheduled during the course of May 2017.
Till date, about 1.6 lakh candidates have registered from all across the country and the number is expected to cross 2 lakh by end of April. The slot booking for Entrance Examination opened up on the 21st of March on the online portal.
Introducing 'Exam retake'
This year the University has eliminated the negative marking system and has introduced a new "Retake" scheme. A candidate is allowed to take a maximum of two retakes if he/she is not satisfied with the score. The best of three takes will be considered for their admissions to SRM University. The SRMJEEE 2017 cutoff score will be based on various factors like expected intake per branch, the difficulty level of the entrance exam and number of applicants.
Several attractive merit Scholarships will be provided for toppers in SRMJEEE, JEE Mains, CBSE/State Board finals and for outstanding performance in Sports as well.
