India has incredible geographic diversity as we have geographic regions stretching from the snow capped Himalayan mountains in the north to the tropical sunny beaches in the south that impact the way people live, what crops are grown, and even affect our economy.
How can I describe the cultural diversity of India? We have over 22 officially recognized languages and hundreds of dialects in India. We have many different religions we co-exist with including Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism, and Jainism. We celebrate many diverse festivals in India, including Diwali, Eid, Christmas, and Vaisakhi. The religious and celebratory diversity is illustrative, but it does not end just there, religious tolerance, multiculturalism/permiscularity is evident and embraced across India as it is a core value. We celebrate diversity, and we proudly claim diversity, without diversity, India would not exist and the world would be less colorful!
