CBSE has made changes in JEE Main 2018

CBSE(Central Board of Secondary Education) has made some changes in the overall structure of JEE Main 2018 as the application process for JEE Main 2018 will start from 1^st December 2017. Changes have been done in the medium of the exam, application procedure and no. of qualifying candidates for JEE Advanced etc. JEE Main 2018 will be conducted in offline mode on 8^th April 2018 and the online mode exam will be held on 15^th and 16^th April 2018.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has increased the number of candidates for JEE Advance after clearing JEE Main examination. The no: of candidates has been increased from 2,00,000 to 2,24,000, this means now more students will be able to participate in JEE Advance as compared to earlier. The candidates applying for JEE Main 2018 will have to mandatorily upload signature of candidates father/mother or guardian while filling the application form. Without which the application form will not be accepted.

The number of exam centers has also been increased this year by CBSE. The exam will be conducted in 147 new examination centers so in total the JEE Main exam will be conducted in 258 test centers in India and 10 test centers outside India.

This year the JEE Main exam will be conducted only in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. The test centers for the Gujarati language will be Gujarat, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
