The CAT 2024 question paper had 22 questions in the DILR portion, which is two more than the previous year. Candidates were given 40 minutes to finish each portion, but the sectional time restriction remained the same.

There were five sets of easy to moderately difficult questions in the CAT 2024 Slot 1 DILR segment of which three sets were from data interpretation and two sets from logical reasoning which also included 11 Types In The Answer (TITA) questions in this logical reasoning and data interpretation section.
- The DI sets covered topics such as a Stock Market Candle Chart (with provided formulas), a Set Theory puzzle on group travel patterns, and a Star Distribution puzzle for judges.
- The LR sets required methodical and strategic thinking, rewarding those who stayed focused under pressure.
- It is expected that the number of good attempts in the DILR slot for CAT 2024 is expected to be around 8 to 9 questions.

Slot 2 also had easy to moderate level questions in the DILR segment and required problem-solving skills along with calculation in which three sets had 4 questions each and two data interpretation sets had 5 questions which also included 3 Types In The Answer (TITA) questions and 2 MCQs in this logical reasoning and data interpretation section.
- The number of good attempts in the DILR slot for CAT 2024 was around 10 to 11 questions.

DILR Analysis CAT 2024 Slot 3
There were 22 questions in the CAT 2024 Slot 3 DILR (Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning) portion, which were broken up across 5 sets. There were two DI sets of five questions each and three LR sets of four questions each in this section.
This portion was easy to moderately difficult overall. Candidates, however, found the DI sets difficult to respond to. Additionally, one LRDI set contained exclusively TITA questions.
