AILET UG Eligibility Criteria 2026 for BA LLB (Hons.)
Candidates interested in admission to the five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme at NLU Delhi must meet the eligibility conditions set by the AILET exam conducting authority.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed their 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent exam from an accredited board or institution in order to apply for AILET 2026 (BA LLB Hons.).
Students who are waiting for their results or who are taking their Class 12 exams in 2026 are also eligible to apply but they must, however, provide documentation of their eligibility by the deadline, which will be specified in the notice of the AILET results.

NLU Delhi provides reservation relaxation to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), EWS, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD).

Can Foreign Nationals, NRIs, or PIOs Apply for AILET 2026?
Yes. Foreign Nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are eligible to apply for AILET 2026. Their admissions procedure differs slightly from that of Indian applicants, nevertheless.
While they are not required to take the AILET admission exam, foreign nationals and OCI/PIO candidates must apply online via the same portal as Indian students.
Their admission is based on:
- Academic performance in the qualifying examination (Class 12 or LL.B., as applicable).
- English language proficiency (spoken and written).
- Performance in an interview, assessing communication and aptitude.
