RIMS Ranchi is an autonomous medical institute established in 1960 in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The institute was previously known as Rajendra Medical College Hospital after the name of the first President of India. It is affiliated with Ranchi University and has the approval of MCI. It currently offers the MBBS course at the undergraduate level, as well as numerous PG Diploma, MD, MS, DM, and M.Ch. & DM programmes at the post-graduate level.

RIMS Ranchi campus is spread over an area of 216 acres and it has a total of 161 faculty members. As per the official website, RIMS Ranchi mission is to provide excellent and affordable health care services to the people RIMS Ranchi accepts NEET UG and NEET PG scores for admission to UG and PG courses, respectively. Candidates seeking admission need to apply for NEET UG 2022 examinations. NEET SS scores are considered for admission procedures too. The institute has a 1500-bed multispecialty hospital and offers free medical services with medicine.

RIMS Ranchi Admission

RIMS Ranchi admission 2022 is based on the NEET UG to MBBS program under the State quota is conducted by the Jharkhand NEET UG Counselling. 

• Admissions into the MBBS course are offered through Jharkhand Common Entrance Competitive Exam (JCECE) and also through NEET UG.
• 15% of students are selected from NEET UG and 85% of students are selected from JCECE.

RIMS Ranchi Eligibility Criteria

RIMS offers a Medical course. Admission to the course is based on eligibility criteria failing which students are not allowed to apply for the courses offered by the RIMS. Below is a list of courses offered by the RIMS with its eligibility criteria

MBBS/ BDS Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have completed 10+2 from any recognized board in Biology/ Biotechnology, Physics, and Chemistry subjects with 50% aggregate marks for admission into the MBBS course.
• Admissions into the MBBS course are offered through Jharkhand Common Entrance Competitive Exam (JCECE) and also through NEET.
• 15% of students are selected from NEET and 85% of students are selected from JCECE.

MD/MS Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should complete MBBS plus one year of the rotatory internship.
• Applicants must be NEET UG qualified.

 DM/M.Ch Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should complete MBBS plus one year of the rotatory internship.

RIMS Ranchi Result

The academic year includes a one-time annual final university exam however, there are terminal exams that are conducted by the institute at regular intervals, and the marks scored in these exams are counted while preparing the annual academic mark sheet. Students are required to clear the exam in order to proceed to the next year of their UG and PG course. In nursing courses, a semester-wise system of the exam is followed. Students can check their results (once they are announced) by following the below-mentioned steps.

• After clicking on the results link you will be redirected to a new page
• There would be links on the new page showing results for each year. (that is the first/second-year MBBS)
• Click on the respective link and a pdf will be downloaded
• Check your result in this pdf by using your roll number
