Candidates applying for the vacancies are requested to go through the Indian Navy eligibility criteria like educational qualification and age limit before applying for the apprenticeship.
Once the vacancies and posts are announced, the educational qualifications required will also be updated.
Note: The minimum percentage is not applicable for candidates who do not have percentage in their certificate due to the changes made during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Candidates should have a minimum height of 137 cm and weight of 25.4 kg. Other standards are as per Apprentices Act 1961.
Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be called for a written examination. Those who pass the written examination in order of merit will be called for interview under various reservation categories and trades. The interview is based on the technical skills of the candidates in their respective trade. Candidates finally selected in interview will have to undergo a medical examination.
Aspirants interested in apprenticeship in the Indian Navy in 2022 should apply for the positions both online at the official web portal given below and off line by post. Non-receipt of both applications will disqualify the applicant automatically.
Note: Before starting the process of profile registration, candidate must ensure that name and date of birth in Aadhar card and SSC Certificate must be the same. If the details in Aadhar Card do not match the SSC Certificate details, then details in Aadhar card should be changed accordingly.
There is no application fee mentioned in the official notification.
Aspirants interested can apply to the desired post according to their eligibility by following the steps below:
Step 1: Visit the Indian Navy’s official websiteindiannavy.nic.in website and navigate to “Personnel – Civilian – Recruitment & Result”.
Step 2: Read the advertisement carefully and then proceed to register atapprenticeshipindia.org under the NAPS scheme.
Step 3: Click on “Register” and select “Candidate” in the drop down menu.
Step 4: Fill in the details and submit it.
Step 5: A system generated auto mail will be sent to candidates e-mail for profile activation.
Step 6: Candidates now will go back and login with their registered g-mail ID and password.
Step 7: Post login, candidates have to enter or edit their personal details, enter educational details, trade preference and validate Aadhar number and submit this online.
Step 8: Download and take a copy of the same from the web portal and send it by post before the due date. Keep a copy of it for future reference too.
No, if any candidate has previously completed apprenticeship training in the same/different establishment, as per the apprenticeship Act 1961, the individual is not eligible for apprenticeship training again.
