Agneepath Recruitment Scheme is a newly launched project to hire young and passionate Indians in the Armed Forces. The Government of India launched the scheme on June 14, 2022. Under this project, the selected candidates will be hired for a new post called ‘Agniveers.’ The Agniveers will be working in the Indian Army for a duration of four years. The initiative has been taken by the Government of India to ensure the youthfulness of our armies.

Through this scheme, every year, around 45,000 to 50,000 soldiers will be recruited for the service term, either in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, or Indian Air Force. Every coin has two sides, and likewise, this scheme too has its pros and cons. The tenure of the job is for just four years, but by the end of these years, the Agniveer will have a handsome exit retirement package at a very young age.
