The NIFT Counselling 2026 process will be done in 4 rounds and 1 spot round. It will be done in July-August 2026. Students must meet the minimum eligibility criteria to register for the counselling.
Following the announcement of the NIFT 2026 results, the National Institute of Fashion Technology conducts the NIFT 2026 counseling process for the eligible candidates. Candidates will not be able to withdraw their seats because the spot round is the last round of seat distribution. The submitted fees will not be reimbursed if the contender withdraws after the spot round. Online registration is available for qualified candidates on the official website.

Documents Required for NIFT Counselling 2026
The list of documents required for NIFT 2026 counselling has been shared below:
- Valid PWD Certificate
- System generated letter/e-mail received by the qualified candidate at the time of registration for counselling.
- Two passport-size photographs and 4 stamp-size photographs.
- 10+2/equivalent exam certificate of passing.
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Category Certificate from the specified authorities.
- Semester Fee – Demand Draft of INR 145,950/- (Non-NRI) drawn in favor of NIFT HO payable at the city of the counselling.
- Certificate of clearing 10+2/equivalent examination, showing the subjects offered by them in the exam. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for B.F.Tech.
- Undertaking for the candidate seeking provisional admission (Annexure-I)
- Undertaking from the students as per provisions of anti-ragging (Annexure-II)
- Form for withdrawal of admission (Annexure-III)
- Undertaking about eligibility, fee and refund (Annexure-IV)
- Medical fitness certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure VI)
- Authorization letter from the candidates who cannot attend NIFT counselling 2019 in person (Annexure-VII) (not applicable for PWD candidates)
- Copy of 12th-class school leaving certificate (only for domicile seats)
- SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy) category certificate if applicable
- Certificate from the board from which the candidate passed the high school/higher secondary examination.
