The National Testing Agency has issued the official NIFT 2026 announcement. The NIFTEE 2026 application correction window has closed. It was open from January 21, 2026 till January 22, 2026 at 11:50 PM. NIFT Application forms were open with regular fees until January 19, 2026, with both regular and late fees.
The NIFT 2026 exam will be held on February 8, 2026. Once the NIFT Correction Window closes, a city-specific notification slip for the NIFT Entrance Exam will be sent. This is sent to candidates to make arrangements at the NIFT Centre City.

NIFT Exam 2026 Official Key Dates and Events
For Candidates Sitting for the NIFT Entrance Exam, There Are Important Dates Listed Below to Consider to Prepare for This Very Popular Design Entrance Exam:
- NIFT Application Form Dates: NIFT 2026 Application Form was open online through the NIFT-NTA Admission Portal. NTA updated the detailed NIFT 2026 exam notification, admission brochure, eligibility criteria, & other important details with the NIFT 2026 application form release. The last date is Jan 16, 2026.
- NIFT Admit Card Dates: The NIFT admit card has been uploaded to the NIFT-NTA website. Candidates must download their admit card from this site only.
- NIFT Entrance Examination Date for 2026: The NIFT entrance examination for 2026 will be held on February 08, 2026. The NIFT exam will evaluate the skills, aptitudes, & knowledge of candidates. This NIFT Entrance has three components: 1. NIFT Creative Aptitude Test (CAT), 2. NIFT General Aptitude Test (GAT), 3. Situation Test and Personal Interview (PI).
- NIFT Situation Test and PI Dates: The candidates who successfully clear the NIFT entrance examination for BDes must then participate in this NIFT situation test to assess their material handling skills. M.Des candidates will take a personal interview round.
- NIFT Entrance Exam Results: The NIFT result will be posted on the NIFT-NTA admission portal in the last week of April for stage 1 and in the last week of June for the final result.
- NIFT Counselling Dates: The timetable for NIFT 2026 counselling will be made public after the NIFT 2026 final results have been released. Similar to last year’s examination, the NIFT 2026 counselling activity will contain multiple rounds of gaiety. In 2021, for example, there were three regular seat allotment rounds and one SPOT round. NIFT 2026 Counselling is projected to take place in the last week of June 2021.
