NID DAT Cutoff 2026: Check Colleges/ Category-wise Cutoff

NID is anticipated to issue the B.Des and M.Des cutoffs at the same time as the NID DAT Prelims Result 2026. The NID DAT Cutoff marks are the minimum marks used to select candidates for the NID DAT 2026 Mains.

The NID DAT Qualifying cutoff marks differ from the NID Admission Cutoff. The NID DAT final result will be released, with weightage given to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

NID DAT Admission Cutoff Vs. Prelims Cutoff

You should be aware that the DAT Prelims result is not utilised as an admission cutoff, but rather to shortlist candidates for the following step, i.e., DAT Mains.

Purpose	To select applicants for the second round of the admissions process, the DAT Mains. Only shortlisted students will be handed admit cards to sit for the NID DAT Mains exam.	The admission cutoff is the minimum final score that you must get in the NID DAT 2026 exam to get admission to a B.Des or M.Des course.

Candidates Shortlisted	The number of students shortlisted for NID DAT Mains must be at least three times the seats available in each category. NID DAT Reservation Benefits for Eligible Categories

Candidates from the reserved categories will receive a series of relaxations for the NID DAT Cut off 2025. The category-wise relaxation is mentioned below.

1. OBC-NCL: 10% lower than the cutoff score for the Open category
2. SC: 20% lower than the cutoff score for the Open category
3. ST: 20% lower than the threshold score for the Open category
4. PwD: 30% lower than the threshold score for the Open category
