Aspirants can seek admission to Delhi University (DU) under the Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) quota. All DU colleges must provide admission seats under the ECA quota. Each DU college offers at most 5% of seats under the ECA quota (subject-wise) every year

Application Process for ECA Quota in DU 2024

Candidates applying for the ECA quota in DU can go to the official site of DU and fill the application form. The individuals who are enrolling for the first time need to make a login ID first and afterwards fill the complete application form and make the application fee payment. Candidates can check the steps for modifying the categories of the ECA quota in DU below.

1. Candidates must access the login window on the official website.
2. Candidates have to log in using their registered email address.
3. Next, they should click on the "Add ECA specializations/activity."
4. Select the respective category.
5. Next, candidates have to upload a maximum of five(5) certificates per activity.
6. Candidates have to pay the necessary fee for every activity.
7. Once the payment is confirmed, their registration process will be completed.

ECA Quota in DU Selection Process 2024

Normally the candidates would have to qualify for the preliminaries led by DU. However, this year, the college won't conduct preliminaries.  

• The admission through this quota will be made with 25% weightage given to the certificate, 75% weightage given to ECA Trials. 
• Preliminaries will be led at the Preliminary and Final levels. All competitors are permitted to show up for preliminaries just for one time. 
• The individuals who clear the first preliminaries are then called for final preliminaries. It is necessary to secure 50% marks in the last preliminaries to qualify through the ECA quota in DU admissions.
•  The experts will set up the merit list based on final trials and their marks in HSC (class 12th).
• The applicant must bring their unique documents and print out the ECA form before admission to a college.
• Admissions will be made based on the merit list rundown.

Documents Required for ECA Quota in DU

The qualified candidates should visit the various colleges offering a seat in the ECA quota in DU. They have to apply to the Cultural Committee of that college.
