1. Master Part-A Speed:
Part-A is a race against the clock! Work on improving your "Visualization" & "Spatial Ability" (highest weightage) by practicing "Cube Folding," "Mirror Images" and "Paper Unfolding" on a daily basis. Use the Elimination Method of answering the MCQs to save time and reduce your chance of losing marks due to negative marking.
2. Refine Part-B Efficiency:
You have 60 minutes to complete both questions (Sketching and Design Aptitude). It's critical to understand how to communicate your designs with clarity instead of using complicated techniques like shading or overly complex shapes. The best way to do this is to practise your ability to sketch human figures quickly and create perspective views (1-point & 2-point) of your designs. To keep your hand moving, the best way to achieve this is through the "5-5-5" rule. Sketch at least 5 different objects, 5 different people and 5 different spaces every day!
3. Review High Yield Topics:
Rather than learning new topics, focus on reviewing the following: Design Fundamentals (Colour Theory, Typography and Logo Evolution), General Knowledge & Awareness (Sustainable Building Materials, Famous Designers and Indian Architectural Heritage) and Mathematics (Basic Geometry, Mensuration Formulas and Puzzles).
4. Logistics on Exam Day: For materials: Bring along your Admit Card, ID proof and pencils (do not forget your transparent pencil pouch). Please note: No sketch pens or colour pencils are allowed. For your health: Get 7 or 8 hours of sleep before the exam. Your brain will not be able to solve the types of spatial puzzles that UCEED is famous for unless it has had enough rest.
