The Maharashtra HSC 2026 Biology exam will be conducted shortly. Candidates with a science background must know the weightage of all subjects and the subject-wise and unit-wise marks distribution. The biology exam will be conducted for 100 marks, where the theory paper will be of 70-marks and a 30-mark practical assessment.
The theory paper is generally divided into multiple sections, including objective questions (MCQs), very short-answer questions, short-answer questions, and long-answer questions. The practical exam marks will be awarded based on the experiments, record-keeping work, and viva voce during the experiment.
The students must score atleast 33% in both the theory and practical papers to pass the examination. Maharashtra HSC Biology Exam Pattern 2026
The Maharashtra HSC Biology exam 2026 is conducted for 100 marks, from which 70 marks will be for the theory paper and 30 marks for the practical/internal assessment. The theory exam is conducted in the offline pen-and-paper mode for 3 hours. As per the Maharashtra HSC Biology Exam Pattern 2026, the theory paper is divided into multiple sections:
- Section A: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Very Short Answer (VSA) Questions.
- Section B & C: Short Answer Questions.
- Section D: Long Answer Questions.
Internal choices are provided in Sections B, C, and D. This facility makes it easy for the students to answer only those questions that are within their knowledge.
