Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh—India’s first AI-Augmented Multidisciplinary University—has taken a landmark step toward fostering a progressive, inclusive, and technology-driven future for women in the state. During the SynHERgy: AI-Driven Innovation for Women Empowerment event, the university hosted a major, historic gathering graced by the Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji, who served as the chief guest.
At the event, the Hon’ble Governor officially launched the NARI Scheme (Nurturing AI Revolution for Inclusion – Women in Tech), a transformative program designed to catalyze a women-led technological revolution in Uttar Pradesh. She also inaugurated the Centre of Universal Business and Entrepreneurship (CUBE) and a state-of-the-art technology-enabled girls’ hostel, marking a significant leap in women-centric infrastructure and innovation.
Championing Nari Shakti for Viksit Bharat 2047
Addressing the audience, the Hon’ble Governor highlighted the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, emphasizing Nari Shakti as one of its core pillars, as articulated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She commended Chandigarh University UP’s commitment to aligning with this mission by providing women with opportunities in start-ups, research, academics, healthcare, and AI-driven innovation—placing women at the center of Uttar Pradesh’s digital transformation.
Launch of CUBE: Centre for Universal Business and Entrepreneurship
To further strengthen women-led entrepreneurship, the Hon’ble Governor inaugurated CUBE, a specialized center designed to help early-stage ideas evolve into successful start-ups. The initiative offers:

CUBE aims to support 50+ women-led start-ups each year, providing ₹5–10 lakh seed funding to over 30 start-ups annually. The program is integrated with flagship government schemes such as Mudra, Stand-Up India, and Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), enabling faster capital access and smoother entrepreneurial journeys. The center targets a 40% two-year survival rate for incubated ventures.
NARI Scheme: Nurturing AI Revolution for Inclusion (Women in Tech)
With an annual budget of ₹2.20 crore, the NARI Scheme is set to become a cornerstone of women’s technological empowerment in the state. Over the next three years, the scheme aims to:

Governor Inaugurates Futuristic Technology-Driven Girls’ Hostel
In another milestone, the Hon’ble Governor inaugurated the university’s ultra-modern girls’ hostel, the first of its kind in Uttar Pradesh. Built at a cost of ₹250 crore, the facility incorporates:

Reinforcing its commitment to women’s health, CU UP launched an HPV Vaccination Drive in the presence of the Hon’ble Governor. She emphasized the urgent need for awareness, timely immunization, and preventive healthcare to combat cervical cancer—marking a significant step toward safeguarding women’s health across the state.
