Kiran Majumdar-Shaw

Kiran is an Indian billionaire entrepreneur and the managing director of Biocon Limited, a biotechnology company located in Bangalore, India. Besides, Kiran is also the chairperson of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. In 2014, she received the Othmer Gold Medal for exceptional contributions to the development of science and chemistry. She is on the Financial Times list of the top 50 influential women in business.

Kiran Majumdar-Shaw was listed as the 85th most powerful woman in the world by Forbes. And she was repeatedly featured on the list of the most powerful women in the world in 2016 and 2017 at 77th and 71st positions, respectively. Kiran completed her Bachelor's in Zoology at Mount Carmel College.

Nirupama is one of the most famous Indian Foreign Service officers who pursued her UG at Mount Carmel college in Bangalore. After retiring from the Indian Foreign Services, she became India's Foreign Secretary and served from 2009 to 2011.

Nirupama Rao served as a foreign ambassador for countries like the USA, China, and Srilanka. She also served in various international departments like Information and Culture in Washington DC, Minister of Press, and Deputy Chief of Mission in Moscow. Besides, Nirupama also served in the prestigious MEA and is the first woman spokesperson of the MEA, Chief of Personnel, Ambassador for Peru, and China. Aparna is a former Indian badminton player and holds a record for being the national champion in Badminton nine consecutive times. The only other player in history to achieve this feat is the legendary Prakash Padukone.

The top international rank she achieved in her career was 16 in the international circuit. She retired in 2006 after suffering a wrist injury for more than five years which went undetected.
