CAT VARC Analysis 2024: Slot-Wise Details

The Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension component of the CAT exam contains 24 questions. This part has the highest weightage. The 24 questions carry 72 points. Reading Comprehension takes up the vast majority of this section. It answers approximately 14-16 questions throughout 4-5 paragraphs. The remaining questions are based on Verbal Ability, such as para jumbles, para summary, and para completion. Every Reading Comprehension paragraph on the CAT has four to five questions. There are often 3-4 para jumble questions, 3-4 para summary questions, and 2-3 para completion questions.

The CAT exam allows each candidate 120 minutes to complete the paper.
