CAT 2022 Registration Window Closes on Sep 14 – Check Application Details Here

CAT 2022 Registration: The Common Admission Test 2022 has begun its admission process in full swing. Therefore, aspiring IIM candidates need to appear for CAT to apply for MBA at an IIM. The online applications began on August 3 at iimcat.ac.in, and are likely to close on September 14. 

Many top management institutes require CAT scores for admissions besides the IIMs. It is also an essential entity for MBS/PGDM programs. However, qualifying CAT is not sufficient for admission to IIMs. Students need to apply separately at several varsities/institutes for PG admissions. This year the exam is taking place on November 27.

Documents and Fees: CAT Registration 2022

Mandatorily, candidates need to upload three sets of documents as mentioned below.

• Passport size photographs and signature (scanned).
• Valid EWS/NC-OBC/SC/ST certificate (if applicable).
• Valid PwD certificate (if applicable).

CAT Registration 2022: Terms 

Candidates must scan and upload their passport-size photographs and signature in .jpg or .jpeg format. The file size is also limited to 80kb. Although, the photograph should not be more than 6 months old and have a resolution of 150 pixels/inch. In addition, the dimensions should be 1200 x 1200. Again, the signature should be of 80mm x 35 mm dimension.

Similarly, the category and PwD certificates must be in PDF format. Importantly, candidates who have registered under a category but have not submitted the required documents will not be accepted at the time of final submissions.

Initially, CAT registration 2022 requires a fee of INR 2300. SC/ST and PwD candidates get an exemption fee of INR 1150. However, the OBC category does not get any exemption fee.

Lastly, students must note that registration closes at 5.00 pm on September 14, 2022. Only online applications are valid. Interested candidates can register first and then complete their application. Students can specifically use their mobile numbers and email IDs for registrations. There is no correction window. Thus candidates must fill their forms carefully.
