Jamia Millia Islamia to Get 5 New Departments & a Faculty

The Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMIU), Delhi, will soon launch 5 new departments. Albeit, 4 departments will be newly inaugurated while 1 center will be upgraded to a new department. The university also stated that the President of India had approved the proposed amendments to the university’s statute. As a result, the university will introduce a new faculty for management studies.
Jamia Millia Islamia: New Departments & Faculty
A circular issued by the registrar’s office of the college stated that the following includes the newly created departments:
- Foreign Languages
- Hospital Management Hospices Studies
- Environmental Studies
- Design & Innovation
- Management Studies
Although, the authorities will upgrade the existing center for management studies to the new Department of Management Studies. Besides, the department will also get a new faculty. The establishment of new departments and the introduction of a new faculty have been made possible by amending statutes. These include – Statute Numbers 17, 20, and 22-A of the university.
Furthermore, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) recently announced that it would accept CUET 2022 for admissions to 10 UG courses. Applicants must participate in the CUET. However, they must register themselves at the JMI website by providing their CUET Application Number.
