The XAT Selection Process 2026 will take place in the second week of February 2026. For all of you hoping to get into one of the participating Xavier institutes, XLRI Jamshedpur will hold the XAT Selection Process in 2026. Those who shall be shortlisted will be required to take part in the selection process, which includes a Personal Interview (PI) and a Group Discussion (GD). Your performance in each stage of the selection process will determine the final merit list. 

For admission to its Ex-PGDM program, XLRI will now accept GRE results as well as XAT and GMAT 2026 scores. XAT 2026 and GD/PI scores will be weighted 60% and 25%, respectively, in the final score computation, in accordance with the XLRI Admission criteria. The XAT result 2026 was declared on Jan 16, 2026.

XAT Selection Procedure 2026

Those who meet the requirements for the XAT 2026 Cutoff will be able to advance with the selection process. The XAT selection process is expected to start in February or March of 2026.

The XAT selection procedure will be carried out by the participating institutes shortly after the results are made public. Those who make it to the cutoff list made public by different institutions will be called for the XAT selection procedure.

XAT Course-wise Selection Criteria

The XAT 2026 selection criteria for the PGDM course will be made public by XLRI, Jamshedpur. Examinees must additionally review the previously mentioned XAT selection criteria.

To pass phase one, you must obtain the minimum cutoff points that XLRI releases. Those who pass both the sectional and overall cutoff will be invited to the second evaluation step.

PGDM	You must clear the minimum cutoff (sectional and overall) of the XAT entrance exam.	You must clear the 30-minute Group Discussion (GD) round of 8 to 10 participants and a Personal Interview (PI).
PGDM (GM)	You must clear the cutoff of either XAT or GMAT.	Shortlisted ones will be called for a Personal Interview (PI). Interviews are also conducted through G-talk/Skype for overseas candidates.
PGDM (BM), Part-Time (JSR)	You must clear an aptitude test or provide valid scores of other credible MBA entrance exams.	Further, you are selected based on your interview (PI) round performance.
PGDM (HRM)	Selection in the first phase will depend on a candidate’s XAT performance.	You will then be called for a Group Discussion (GD) on the basis that you are shortlisted for the course.

Documents Required for XAT 2026 Selection Process

The list of documents required for the XAT exam selection process is as follows:

• All academic scorecards (class 10, 12, & graduation level).
• XAT scorecard.
• XAT 2026 admit card.
• Original XAT Selection Process letter
• Bank draft as per the guidelines mentioned in the official brochure
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Medical documents
• 4-6 passport-size photographs in colour and black and white
