Parul University of Ayurved organized Ayurvimarsha 2024, an international conference uniting global Ayurveda experts to explore modern applications of Ayurveda in everyday life through scientific sessions, keynotes, and panel discussions.
Vadodara, Gujarat – Parul University of Ayurved, a vanguard in holistic Ayurveda healthcare education, triumphantly hosted the eagerly awaited international conference titled “Ayurveda for Everyone, Every Day” – "Ayurvimarsha." The event unfolded at Parul University, Vadodara. This grand symposium convened esteemed global experts, scholars, practitioners, and students of Ayurveda to delve into the enduring relevance of Ayurveda in contemporary health and wellness paradigms. Central to the discussions was the theme of intertwining tradition with modernity, emphasizing Ayurveda's benefits for farmers, students, and public health.
The event was heralded by an extensive array of preconference activities spanning the past month. These included specialized webinar series, scientific sessions featuring paper presentations, Prayatna Kreeda (a suite of sports activities for in-house students and faculty), and the Ayur Quiz, an online quiz competition that drew participants from various colleges. The day preceding the main conference showcased a series of webinars conducted by distinguished international faculty members, setting the stage for the grand event.
Dr. Hemant Toshikhane, esteemed Dean of the Faculty of Ayurved at Parul University, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished dignitaries and delegates. The conference was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guests: Dr. Raghuram Bhatt, President of NCISM (MARBISM), Govt. of India; Acharya Manishji, Founder and Director of HIMS & JEENA SIKHO LIFECARE LTD; and Dr. Hasmukh Soni, Chairman of the Gujarat Ayurved Medical Association, Ahmedabad. The inaugural ceremony was marked by the release of the Preconference Proceedings book and the presentation of Best Scientific Paper Awards. Dr. Komal Patel, Vice President & Medical Director (Medical & Paramedical Health Science) at Parul University, delivered an inspiring presidential address, setting the tone for the conference.
The first day of the conference showcased a series of erudite scientific sessions, meticulously curated for the academic community. These sessions delved into pivotal topics such as Ayurveda regulations outside India, the synergy between Ayurvedic surgery and modern science, the contemporary relevance of Ayurveda in clinical practice, innovative approaches to mental health, Ayurveda's role in cancer management, and the intricacies of the Clinical Establishment Act. The event was graced by esteemed speakers including Dr. Harish Verma, Director of Best Ayurveda Ltd., Canada; Dr. P. Hemantha Kumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Surgery at NIA, Jaipur; Dr. Shrikant K, National Manager of Scientific Services at Himalaya Wellness Company, Karnataka; Dr. Suhas Kumar Shetty, Principal and Medical Director of Shri B M K Ayurveda College, Belagavi; Acharya Manish Ji, Founder and Director of HIMS & JEENA SIKHO Lifecare Ltd; Dr. Gaurang Joshi, International Ayurveda Physician and Director of Atharva Multispecialty Ayurveda Hospital and Research Center, Rajkot; Dr. Hasmukh Soni, Chairman of the Gujarat Ayurved Medical Association, Ahmedabad; and Dr. Ranjitsinh D. On the second day of the conference, attendees were enriched by insightful talks from eminent speakers such as Vd. Tapan Vaidya (Renowned Physician, Sujivan Clinic, Ahmedabad), Dr. Yaddu Mooss (Executive Director, Vaidyaratnam Group, Trissur, Kerala), Dr. Ramdas Avhad (Chief Consultant, Dr. Avhad’s Dhanwantari Ayurved Center, Nashik), Dr. Jithesh M K (Physician & HOD, Quality Control Dept, Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal), Dr. Rajanikant Patel (Ayurved Physician, Specialist in Mucormycosis and Oesophageal Necrosis), Dr. Narayan Sahane (Director, Brahma Ayurveda, Multispecialty Hospital and Academic Centre, Nadiad), and Dr. Rohit Sane (Founder and MD of Madhavbaug). The day's agenda centered on the practical enrichment of Ayurvedic knowledge, addressing critical topics such as Ayurveda prescriptions, pain management, Ayurvedic urology, the management of complex cases, and solutions to challenges faced in Ayurvedic industries.
