The Indian Institute of Technology - Joint Admission Test, or IIT JAM 2026, is a national admission exam that is administered by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and any IIT institute.

• Every year, the  Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore, and any other Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) alternately host IIT JAM. 
• IIT Madras will conduct IIT JAM 2026 as a computer-based test on February 15, 2026.

2. JEST (Joint Entrance Screening Test)

JEST (Joint Entrance Screening Test) is the aptitude test for applicants interested in pursuing postsecondary study in Physics, Theoretical Computer Science, Neuroscience, and Computational Biology. 

• Multiple prestigious institutions, including IISc, IISERs, NISER, and others, jointly administer this exam. 
• The exam will be conducted online in June, 2026.

Eligibility: Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in a related subject with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.

3. NEST (National Entrance Screening Test)

The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and the University of Mumbai's Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai, offer a five-year integrated Master of Science program in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics through an entrance to the program is through the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST), a national exam.

Eligibility: Candidate must have an intermediate degree in a related subject with at least 55% marks from a recognized institute.

4. CAT (Common Admission Test)

The CAT 2026 exam, which is required for admission to 20 IIMs and other MBA programs in India, will take place on November 29, 2026. One of the top six IIMs administers the exam. The most likely organization to conduct CAT 2026 is IIM Calcutta.

• The first week of August 2026 will mark the start of the CAT 2026 registration procedure, which will last until the third week of September 2026.

5. GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering)

The exam schedule for GATE 2026 has been made public by IISc Bangalore. The timetable states that the GATE 2026 exam dates for all 30 courses are set for February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. 

• Exams will be conducted in two shifts; shift 1 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and shift 2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM will be used for the tests.
• For admission to M.Tech programs at IITs, NITs, and other universities, the GATE exam is administered once a year. 
• When hiring for entry-level roles, several public corporations also take GATE scores into account.

6. CUET PG Entrance Exam

The National Testing Agency (NTA) opened CUET PG test registration on March 13 to April 1, 2026. 

• In order to be admitted to postgraduate studies at several central universities and other participating colleges, candidates must pass the CUET PG exam in 2026.

Eligibility: Candidate must have an intermediate degree in a related subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized institute.

7. ICAR AIEEA (Indian Council of Agricultural Research All India Entrance Examination for Admission)

The ICAR AIEEA 2026 has announced by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research exam shedule. 

• The ICAR AIEEA PG 2026 application form will be available from the National Testing Agency in August 2026.

Eligibility: Candidate must have an intermediate degree in a related subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized institute.

8. GRE (Graduate Record Examination)

9. NIFT Entrance Exam (National Institute of Fashion Technology)

The National Testing Agency will administer the written tests for the NIFT 2026 on February 8, 2026. While applicants for other courses just need to take the GAT, candidates for B.Des and M.Des programs must appear in both the CAT and the GAT. 

• It should be noted that candidates will be shortlisted for a Situation Test/Personal Interview based on their written exam scores. 
• Written exams and the Situation Test/Personal Interview will be given equal weights in order to prepare the final NIFT 2026 result.

Eligibility: Candidate must be 10+2 qualified from any recognized board.

10. CLAT (Common Law Admission Test)

The Common Law Admission Test, also known as CLAT, is a centralized national-level entrance exam for legal programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The organization that administers the CLAT exam is the Consortium of NLUs.
