JEE Advanced 2022: Students Find Paper 2 Moderately Tough, Lengthier Than Paper 1

JEE Advanced 2022: JEE Advanced paper 2 was difficult compared to paper 1. The JEE Advanced 2022 response sheets of candidates for both papers will be available on September 1. JEE Advanced  had 2 papers – paper 1 and paper 2 of three hours each. Appearing for both papers was compulsory. Each question paper had 3 sections – Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Chemistry

Balanced Section. In Physical Chemistry, there were questions from Electrochemistry, Mole Concept, Surface Chemistry, Thermodynamics & Chemical Kinetics. 

Physics

There were questions concept based and covered all chapters. Students reported this section to be Moderate. Questions were asked from Optics, Kinematics, Work Power & Energy, Rotational Motion, and Thermodynamics mixed with Surface Tension, Current Electricity, Electrostatics, and Magnetism.

Mathematics

 Moderate and lengthy. Questions were mixed concept questions clubbing two chapters from Functions & Progressions, Application of Derivatives clubbed with Differential Equation, Circle clubbed with Trigonometry, Vectors clubbed with Matrices, and some direct questions from Hyperbola, Ellipse, Permutation & Combination, Probability, Definite Integration with Inverse of function. Questions had lengthy calculations.

Section one of JEE Advanced  paper two had 8 questions with integer-type answers, the answer of which was a positive number only. The marking scheme for this section contains three marks (+3) for each correct answer.
