IGNOU Launches Online MA Programme in Sustainability Science, Check Details Here

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched an online master's programme in sustainability science. The programme will be offered online and have multiple entry and exit options. The master's programme was inaugurated in a virtual event held on Nov 24, 2022. 

Interested candidates who have graduated in any stream can register for this newly launched programme. The program's primary goal is to give candidates a chance to do in-depth research on sustainable development and the critical tenants of sustainability science. The programme is developed on an interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary approach. It attempts to teach students about India's primary ecosystems and problems to sustainable development, such as population, climate change, health, and social ecology.

It is widely recognised as one of the strategies for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 and fostering sustainability in all aspects of life. The MASS programme offered by IGNOU is the first in India, notably in higher education, intending to promote sustainability education throughout society.
