- The maximum marks allotted to the written exam and the interview will be equal for each course.
- Candidates should note that there will be a penalty for wrong answers.
- The papers in all the subjects will consist of objective-type questions only.
- The question papers of General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics will be set bilingually.

- Candidates are advised to take one or two printouts of the UPSC CDS 2 2022 exam admit card.
- A blue or black ballpoint pen, a transparent water bottle, and sanitizer in a transparent bottle are allowed to take inside the exam centre.
- Candidates must have one valid photo ID proof.
- Candidates should wear a face mask inside and outside the exam centre, and they must follow COVID-19 norms strictly.
