IIT JAM 2023 Notification Released: Registration to Open From 7 Sept
IIT Guwahati has released the notification for IIT JAM 2023. The application form will be available from 7 September.
IIT JAM 2023 Notification Released: IIT Guwahati, the exam conducting institution for this year, has released the notification for IIT JAM 2023. The application form will be available from 7 September. The deadline for applying is 11 October. Furthermore, the exam is scheduled for two shifts on 12 February 2023.
IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) is an annual exam for admission to M.Sc. and other courses in 30 CFTIs. The CFTIs include IITs, NITs, IISc, DIAT, IIEST, IISER, IIPE, JNCASR and SLIET. Aspirants may secure direct admission in 3000 seats in IITs and 2,300 in other institutes.

The exams will be conducted in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode. Moreover, the exams are conducted for seven subjects, namely, Mathematical Statistics (MS), Mathematics (MA), Physics (PH), Economics (EN), Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG), and Biotechnology (BT). The exams for the subjects will be conducted in two shifts as follows:
- Forenoon session: Chemistry, Geology and Mathematics
- Afternoon session: Biotechnology, Economics, Mathematical Statistics and Physics

There has been a hike in the application fees this year. Following are the details of the application fees:

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for IIT JAM 2023 are as follows:
- Indian and Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply.
- Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from any recognised university.
- Additionally, Candidates appearing for the final exams of bachelor’s in 2023 can also apply for the examination. They have to submit the undergraduate degree by September 29, 2023.
