HPU PhD (Direct) Admission 2022: Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) is taking an application for PhD programmes in various fields. HPU will release the application link on their official website on 10th August 2022. However, interested candidates can apply through the link until 10th August for HPU PhD (Direct) Admission 2022.
HPU Shimla offers PhD programmes in different fields like Maths, Chemistry, Hindi, Zoology, Music, Journalism etc. Candidates must have a minimum of a Master’s Degree or Postgraduate Degree from any of the recognised universities to be eligible for the PhD programme at HPU. The duration of this programme is 3 years. The university will publish merit lists for various subjects. Admission will be based on the merit list of each candidate. According to the merit list, the university will call the candidates for counselling.

Eligibility Criteria for HPU PhD Admission 2022
Given below are the detailed eligibility criteria for the candidates who are going to apply for the HPU PhD course.
- Candidates need to have a minimum of a Master’s Degree or Postgraduate Degree from any of the recognized universities. They need to have 55% marks in aggregate or grade B as its equivalent in the UGC-7 point scale.
- Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/Differently-abled and other categories of candidates need a minimum of 50% marks (5% relaxation) or an equivalent relaxation of grades as per university norms.
