CAPF Vacancies: 84,405 Vacant Posts to be Filled by December 2023
With 84,405 vacancies in CAPF, the Union Minister said its been decided to fill the vacancies by December 2023.
CAPF Vacancies: In a recently issued notice by Rajya Sabha, the current CAPF vacancy is 84,405 with the highest vacancy in CRPF which is 29,985. Union Minister of State for Home Nityanad Rai said that these existing seats for CAPFs have been decided to be filled by December 2023.
Moreover, the total strength of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Assam Rifles is 10,05,779.

CAPFs Vacancy: Category-wise
As mentioned, there are 84,405 posts that are lying vacant in the six CAPFs. Check the table below with the category-wise number of vacancies

The minister said the examination to fill 25,271 posts of constable (general duty) had already been conducted.
The Minister spoke about early recruitment of the vacancies where the MoU must be signed with the SSC. He also mentioned the meetings of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for filling promotional vacancies.
