Chandigarh University, renowned as India’s No. 1 Private University, is proud to announce that 24 of our exceptional students have been selected to represent India at the prestigious FISU World University Games 2025, set to take place in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany.

About the 2025 FISU World University Games
Formerly known as the Universiade, the FISU World University Games is a premier international multi-sport event for university athletes, organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). Held every two years, the Games provide a global platform for student-athletes to showcase their talent in an Olympic-style format.
The 2025 edition will be hosted across six German cities—Bochum, Duisburg, Essen, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Hagen, and Berlin—from July 16 to July 27, welcoming over 8,500 student-athletes and officials from more than 150 countries. Athletes will compete in 18 sports categories, making it one of the largest multi-sport events in the world this year.
The core sports include Athletics, Swimming, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Judo, Archery, Fencing, and more, with optional additions like 3×3 Basketball, Beach Volleyball, and Rowing. Notably, the 2025 Games will also mark the debut of 3×3 Wheelchair Basketball in the FISU Summer Games.
